Prayer Vigil

Please join St. Martha’s Hall, Incarnate Word Foundation, and the Sisters of St. Joseph Carondelet for an ecumenical prayer vigil on Tuesday, August 19th at 6:00pm at Tower Grove Park (Turkish Pavilion) to address the humanitarian emergency of unaccompanied minor children from Central America.

Since October of 2013, 57,000 unaccompanied children have crossed the southwest boarder of the U.S. seeking safety and reunification with family members in the U.S.

They have suffered from exhaustion, thirst, hunger, exploitation and for many of them sexual and physical violence.  You may not be able to provide direct support to these children but as a community you can participate in this collective act of concern.   This is our opportunity to express our support for a compassionate response to this humanitarian crisis.

Please join us in a Prayer Vigil for these children, their families, the border patrol, the smugglers, volunteers helping them, those who have yet to open their hearts to these refugees, and all governments involved.

Please call St. Martha’s Hall at 314-533-1313 for any questions about the vigil.
